Take a 360-degree stroll among cedars along this beautiful avenue where you will feel small before the immense height of these centuries-old trees. The path, located in Moto Hakone (Japan), is part of the ancient Tokaido route which, during the Edo period, connected Tokyo with Kyoto. Nearly 500 kilometers along which there were rest stations or post stops and also checkpoints where travelers could be inspected. You can visit the reconstruction of one of them just a few minutes from the cedar avenue, next to Lake Ashi. And if you need a break, walk along this ancient route to the Amazake Chaya tea house where you can also taste some typical Japanese sweets.
